Basics
What is Sodatide?
A fiber and probiotic capsule. Not a drug.
What is Sodatide used for?
The label says metabolic and digestive support, appetite control and satiety, and energy production from fats. Those are the brand's claims, not test results. No study of Sodatide itself has been published.
Is Sodatide a prebiotic, a probiotic or both?
Both. It pairs two prebiotic fibers, chicory root inulin and potato resistant starch, with three probiotic bacteria. Prebiotics feed gut bacteria; probiotics are the bacteria themselves.
Is Sodatide the same as a weight-loss injection?
No. Sodatide is a dietary supplement capsule, not a prescription drug and not a GLP-1 medicine. If you are weighing prescription options for weight, talk with your doctor.
Is Sodatide approved by the FDA?
No, the FDA does not approve any dietary supplement before sale (FDA, Dietary supplement Q&A). The label prints the usual notice that its statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
Who sells Sodatide in the U.S.?
The brand sells it through its sales page, mysodatide.com. This site belongs to Sodatideroutine, an authorized U.S. retailer per our brief, not the maker. The label names Instituto Experience as distributor.
Ingredients
What is in a Sodatide capsule?
Two fibers, three bacteria, four helper ingredients.
How much fiber is in one Sodatide capsule?
About 311 mg: 211 mg of chicory root inulin and 100 mg of potato resistant starch. Studies on these fibers used grams a day, so one capsule holds roughly 2-4% of a studied dose.
Why is there no CFU count on the Sodatide label?
The bacteria sit in a proprietary blend, and U.S. rules require only its total weight (21 CFR 101.36 (proprietary blends)). The 36 mg weight says nothing about live cells (NIH ODS, Probiotics (health professional)). Ask the seller for a CFU count.
Does Sodatide use live or pasteurized Akkermansia?
The label does not say. That matters, because the main Akkermansia pilot found the pasteurized form did more than the live one (Depommier 2019 (Akkermansia pilot)). Details on our Akkermansia page.
What are the other ingredients in Sodatide capsules?
Hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. They form the capsule shell and keep the powder flowing. None is an active ingredient.
Is the Sodatide capsule plant-based?
Yes. The label lists hypromellose, a vegetarian capsule shell. Gluten-free and dairy-free claims come from the seller, not the label, so ask if you must avoid either.
How to take it
How do you take Sodatide?
One capsule, one glass of water, one fixed time.
- 01
Take 1 capsule
The label says one capsule daily. There is no bigger dose, and the label says do not exceed it.
- 02
With an 8 oz glass of water
Swallow it with a full glass of water, as the label directs.
- 03
Pick one time a day
The label sets no time. The sales page suggests mornings before a meal; any fixed time works.
- 04
Keep the bottle cool
The label says refrigerate for optimal quality and store in a cool, dry place. A closed bottle in the fridge does both.
What time of day should I take Sodatide?
The label sets no time. The sales page recommends the morning, before a meal. Any fixed time you will remember works, as long as you keep to one capsule with 8 oz of water.
Should Sodatide be kept in the fridge?
The label says refrigerate for optimal quality and also store in a cool, dry place. A closed bottle in the fridge meets both lines. Keep the lid tight against moisture.
What should I do if I miss a Sodatide capsule?
Just take the next one as usual. The label says do not exceed the recommended dose, so never double up to catch up.
Can I take Sodatide with another probiotic or fiber supplement?
The label does not address it. Stacking products adds more fiber and bacteria, which can mean more gas. Ask your pharmacist or doctor, and bring both labels.
How many capsules come in a Sodatide bottle?
Thirty, at one a day, so each bottle is a 30-day supply. The 2-, 3- and 6-bottle packs cover 60, 90 and 180 days.
Evidence
Does Sodatide work?
Untested as a product. Its ingredients were studied at much larger doses.
Will Sodatide help me lose weight?
No study shows that. Across 15 probiotic trials, extra weight loss was about 0.6 kg, called of questionable clinical significance, and the newest review found no effect (NIH ODS, Weight loss supplements).
Does Sodatide reduce appetite?
The label claims it supports appetite control and satiety, but no one has tested Sodatide for appetite. Protein and fiber-rich meals have far more to offer here.
Has Sodatide been tested in a clinical trial?
Not that we can find. A look-alike five-strain formula with inulin was tested in 76 adults with type 2 diabetes; weight did not change (Perraudeau 2020 (WBF-011 trial)). That trial used six capsules a day.
How long should I try Sodatide before judging it?
There is no study to set a timeline. A practical plan fits the 60-day refund window: note how your gut feels each week, and decide by about day 45.
Is food fiber better than a Sodatide capsule?
For fiber, yes. A bowl of oats or beans gives several grams; a capsule gives under a third of a gram. Sodatide's probiotics are a separate question the label cannot fully answer.
Safety
Is Sodatide safe for you?
Usually mild for healthy adults. Some people should ask first.
Who should not take Sodatide without a doctor's advice?
Anyone pregnant or nursing, under 18, or with a medical condition, per the label. Also people with weak immune systems, serious illness or a central line, since live bacteria carry a rare infection risk (NCCIH, Probiotics).
Can Sodatide cause gas or loose stools?
It can. Inulin's usual side effects at gram doses are gas, then bloating (Bonnema 2010 (inulin tolerance)). At 211 mg, effects are less likely. See Sodatide side effects for what to watch.
Is Sodatide okay if I have IBS?
Maybe, but ask first. Inulin is a fructan, and fructans may bother some people with IBS. If your doctor agrees, track symptoms closely in the first week.
Can I take Sodatide if I use diabetes medicine?
Ask your doctor first. Sodatide is not a diabetes treatment, so keep your medicine as prescribed. Never change or stop it because of a supplement.
When should I stop Sodatide and get medical help?
Stop and seek care for fever, chills or feeling very unwell, severe or lasting belly pain, bloody stools, ongoing diarrhea, or signs of an allergic reaction.
Buying
How do you buy Sodatide and get a refund?
Three packs, one sales page, one order desk.
What does Sodatide cost per pack?
On the sales page, 2 bottles cost $158 plus shipping, 3 bottles $207, and 6 bottles $294. That comes to $2.63, $2.30 or $1.63 a day. Compare packs on Sodatide pricing.
Where do I buy genuine Sodatide?
From the brand's sales page, which our order buttons open. The sales site lists no other retailers. Buying elsewhere, you cannot confirm the source or which refund rules apply.
Does Sodatide ship free?
On 3- and 6-bottle packs in the U.S., per the sales page. The 2-bottle pack adds shipping, shown at checkout. Tracking arrives in your order email.
Will Sodatide charge my card again?
The sales FAQ says each order is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewals. Your statement may show the checkout company's name rather than Sodatide.
How does the Sodatide money-back guarantee work?
The sales page offers 60 days from purchase but also mentions at least 30 days of use. Call +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID and confirm the rule before you mail bottles back.
Who pays return postage on Sodatide?
You do, per the retailer's terms. Use a tracked service. The refund follows 3-5 business days after the return is credited, then 5-10 days on your card.
